Arshia Sharma

Hello, I'm Arshia Sharma Welcome to my website!

" I just need one good thing. Only one! So I can remind myself that there is hope out there. Is that too much to ask? "

This request for hope is a quote from my journal dating back to June, 2020. While it does seem misplaced on the home page of a website introducing me, I believe it captures the essence of my younger self’s naïve optimism that still drives me today.

What seems like a plea from someone facing life’s most profound struggles was, in truth, an internal tantrum sparked by internet glitches during a competitive class Kahoot quiz which I was determined to win—tragic stuff, I know. Looking back, it’s safe to say that younger me was quite the drama queen but, at the same time, surprisingly optimistic. Rereading that old journal recently, I could hardly believe I once wrote in that tone—yet, while my writing may have evolved, that sanguine attitude has remained a constant.

I come from a loving family of five—my parents, older brother, grandmother, and me— where curiosity and learning were always encouraged. That spirit has shaped who I am today. I’ve spent my entire academic life at Scottish High International School, growing through the IB PYP, ICSE, IGCSE, and now the IB Diploma Programme. Each stage has deepened my passion for Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, and Physics, especially in how they intertwine to solve real-world problems—whether it’s understanding the science behind technology or applying computational thinking to everyday life.

Even now, I think back to that younger version of myself—searching for “one good thing” to believe in. When life feels uncertain, it’s that small spark of hope that keeps me moving forward. For the sake of the Arshia scribbling away her thoughts between Zoom classes, I want to keep chasing that “one thing”—by learning, creating, and exploring the world a little better each day. So, welcome to this space—a glimpse into that ongoing pursuit.
